Break it down

Some tasks are hard because they are hard. Most are hard because the first step is not a step — it is a whole project wearing one line of a list. Type the thing you have been avoiding and it comes back as steps you could actually start, and any step that is still too big can be broken down again.

This one is built and not switched on. It needs a `GROQ_API_KEY` in the project’s environment variables; until that is set, the route answers 503 and this page says so rather than pretending.

The planner needs no key and works now.

Where this one runs, since the last one got it wrong

This one does use a model, and it runs on a server rather than in your browser. The previous attempt ran in the browser and the honest result was a 786 MB download that produced nonsense, so that is gone.

Which means: the sentence you type is sent to an API to be turned into steps. Nothing is stored here — no account, no database row, no log of what you asked. But it does leave your device, and that is a real difference from the planner, which needs no network at all.

The model is given one job and told what it may not do: no links, no brand or product names, no prices, no durations in days. It cannot know what is good on YouTube this week, so it is not asked. Steps that come back in the wrong shape are rejected rather than shown.
