Does software already solve it? Can AI solve 80% of it? Is it strategic? Will it compound? Only then: should we build it?
The order matters more than the questions. Most build decisions are made at question five and justified backwards — asking whether the thing compounds before asking whether to build it is what stops you from constructing infrastructure around a problem that a subscription already solves.
